ABOUT US

WHAT WE DO AND WHO WE ARE:

PETROL CAP PRODUCTIONS specialise in developing and producing scripted content for both adults and children whilst also working across presenter-led factual entertainment and format ideas.

Jack Carroll is a co-founder of PETROL CAP PRODUCTIONS and an award winning actor, writer, stand up comedian and development producer from West Yorkshire. Despite being just 23, Jack has over a decade of experience in the comedy industry, working across television, film and live events and has developed an extensive list of useful contacts along the way. He is currently working on shows for all the major broadcasters as both an acting and writing talent.

Jack starred in CBBC sketch show Vic Reeves ‘Ministry of Curious Stuff’ aged 11, won a pride of Britain award at 12, was runner-up on Britain’s got talent aged 14 and was nominated for a National Soap Award aged 15 for his appearance in Doctors. What he did when he was 13 remains a mystery. Since then, he’s made stand-up appearances on Live at the Apollo and Sunday Night at the Palladium and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order. He has also acted in 4 series of Sky 1 Sitcom Trollied, and starred in award-winning feature film Eaten By Lions alongside the cream of the crop of British Comedy.

George Sawyer is a co-founder of PETROL CAP PRODUCTIONS and a Brighton based, BAFTA winning Series producer, writer and director, specialising in comedy. He was a principal writer and a script editor for the EMMY Award-winning series of BBC’s Horrible Histories starring Ben Miller and Rowan Atkinson and has more recently directed BAFTA award winning children’s animation TOM GATES for Sky Kids.

As well as working as a writer on narrative and sketch comedy, George works in development, producing original ideas and adapting existing IP with new and experienced talent for comedy, drama and YA and animation.

OUR STORY:

Jack and George have been firm friends and collaborators since they both appeared in Vic Reeves ‘Ministry of Curious Stuff’ on CBBC back when Jack was a child and George had only one chin.
